Web Developer. Photographer.
Bart Sallé spends his days building websites, webshops, applications and integrations (https://www.bartsalle.nl/). His evenings and weekends, whenever he can manage it, he spends with a camera.
Photography pulls him out of deadlines and into whatever is actually in front of him, whether that’s an empty hillside at golden hour or a stranger walking through a patch of light on a busy city street.
Landscape and city photography are what he loves most. Landscapes are where he feels most at ease: open spaces, slow light, the quiet of having nothing around you but your surroundings. Scandinavia keeps pulling him back for exactly that reason. There’s a raw, weathered honesty to the landscapes of Norway, Sweden and Denmark that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Cities are the other side of that. Tight streets, hard edges, reflections and strangers and moments that disappear before you’ve fully registered them. A different energy, but one he’s come to love just as much.
His inspiration comes from photographers like James Popsys, Withluke, Alan Schaller, Fredrik Axling and Adrien Sanguinetti. Photographers who each have a strong, recognisable way of seeing. Over the years, Bart has been developing his own.
